Who Do You Run To?

Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

When you are afraid, or overwhelmed, who do run to?
Who do you turn to for strength and comfort?
Who is your shelter in the midst of life’s storms?

Isaiah and King David knew who to cry out to, and lean upon.

They KNEW that the Lord was their helper, strength, shield, and rock.
They KNEW they could put their trust in Him and He would help.

Psalms 61:1 Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.. 61:2 From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. 61:3 For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy. 61:4 I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah. 61:5 For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name. 61:6 Thou wilt prolong the king’s life: and his years as many generations. 61:7 He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him. 61:8 So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.

Psalms 28:6 Blessed be the LORD, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications. 28:7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. 28:8 The LORD is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed. 28:9 Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance: feed them also, and lift them up for ever.

What about you Dear One?

Whatever you are facing today, is the Lord your strength, shield and rock? Are you trusting in Him??

Can you say like King David;

Psalms 34:8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. 34:9 O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. 34:10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.
