12 Months of Date Nights for Christmas
I stumbled across this Christmas gift idea “12 Months of Dates” from “clean and scentsible” and I thought it was really cute and wanted to share it.

My husband is often not very forthcoming with gift ideas for himself. Sure there are practical things I could buy him but I find myself wanting to give him something special or sentimental that shows how much I love him. As a family with 5 young children, we don’t get a lot of alone time together. I’m sure many of you with young children can relate to this. Finding a babysitter can often be difficult (especially one brave enough to take on my 5 little ones!) but sometimes it’s simply a time issue or lack of planning that stops us from having “date nights”.
Having said all that, I think it is important to have that special time together without the children.
So what is the gift exactly?
You are gifting your partner with 12 dates or activities (1 for each month of the year) that you can do throughout the year. Some may include pre-purchased vouchers or you could just present the date idea and pay for it as you go (especially if your Christmas spending is a bit high like mine!).
Its basically agreeing and planning upfront to make that time for each other throughout the year. The last line of her gift poem really caught my eye…
“the time spent together is the point of it all”.
I really love spending time with my husband and I know he would enjoy more time with me.
If you are on a budget but still want a date outside of your home, I would recommend looking for vouchers on sites like groupon where you can find dinner vouchers, or other activities in your area for a heavily discounted price (just keep your eye on the expiry date!). These sites are also a great way of finding new activities you might not usually think of.
