December 1st is here and all things Christmas are beginning to occupy my thoughts! I love this time of year and everything it represents.
For me Christmas is first and for most about my precious Saviour, the Son of God, who left His heavenly home, came to earth as a babe, lived among us, died, and rose again, so that we might be saved.
What a precious truth it is! How great is the love of our wonderful God that He would send His only son to pay the price for our sins! How can we not rejoice? Hallelujah!
So with this thought in mind, (and Handel’s ‘ Messiah ‘ playing in the background.) It’s time to celebrate!
We’re going to make some Gingerbread and here’s the recipe we’re going to use.
We love having homemade Gingerbread in our home during the Christmas season. When friends and family come over it is lovely to be share a homemade treat with them. They also make wonderful gifts. Our next door neighbor’s little boy loves to recieve homemade gingerbread. Come to think of it, who doesn’t like to receive homemade baked goods?
One of the other bonuses is the house smells amazing!
Well; I’m off to make some Gingerbread dough.
