I think every mother on this planet could echo the truth of this statement. I know I can!
As I sit here, writing this post, I am also looking at the floors that I vacuumed and mopped THIS morning. Even though only a few, short hours have passed , my family room floor looks like I didn’t clean it today. 😨
( Silent groan…) 😐
However, the truth is that life HAPPENS in this house.
We LIVE in this house.
And life can be MESSY!
We are a home school family and most week days there is someone here 24/7.
I could walk around ALL day with the vacuum and mop in my hand and the house still wouldn’t be spotless.
You see there is always something ‘to do’.
There are always dishes to wash.
There is always laundry to fold.
There is always furniture to dust.
There are always bathrooms to clean.
And, there are always meals to plan and cook. ( Families like to eat. 😊)
My ‘To Do List’ always has something to do on it! I NEVER get to the end.
And that is OKAY.
I will keep cooking, cleaning, dusting AND tomorrow I will get up and do it ALL again.
WHY? Because I am a mother and that is MY privilege.
I am building a FAMILY and a HOME. ( Not a display home.)
God’s Holy Word tells me that ‘ a wise woman will build her house ‘ and with HIS help;
I WILL!
