Lately I have really become aware of Satan’s deliberate attempt to divide and conquer within our church family. We have been under attack with reoccurring illnesses, health issues, deaths, family issues and so on.
The more we as a church have worked together to serve the Lord, the more Satan has been working to discourage us in our walk. Despite these obvious attacks, I have been encouraged by the fact that even though Satan is trying to separate us, we have pulled closer to God and are refusing to let him win.
James 4:7 (KJV) Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
The Bible states in James 2:19 (KJV), “Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.”
Satan and his helpers are well aware of the power and authority of God. The spirit of God dwells within us and He is greater than Satan.
1 John 4:4 (KJV) Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
Praise God! Though we will still be faced with trials and tribulations, our God is very real, as is the power we can have when we call on his promise to be with us.
Deuteronomy 31:6 (KJV) says, “Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”
We as children of God, can claim this promise and find renewed strength in it.
Romans 8:31 (KJV) What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
